Meet the People Behind Civik
Jevon Burns
Director of Operations
I spent 10 years in the British Merchant Navy working in health and safety. That experience built my approach to care: clear expectations, high standards, and no room for inconsistency.
Alongside that, I’ve worked hands-on in the care sector, supporting people with complex needs and helping define care plans that actually work. I know what it’s like to be on the frontline, and I carry that perspective into everything we do at Civik.
I oversee all care planning and quality checks, and I stay involved day to day. If something needs fixing, I’m the one who picks up the phone.
Alisha Burns
Care Coordinator & Frontline Lead
Alisha has strong experience delivering care across a range of settings. She has supported clients in their homes, worked in live-in care, and looked after people with complex physical and mental health needs. At Civik, she coordinates new care packages, helps manage the rota, and stays closely involved with staff and families. She still works on the frontline as well, so she sees firsthand what’s working and what isn’t. That’s what keeps our care grounded, responsive, and real.
